The Challenge: A complete Security Requirement Analysis was needed for a brand new 500,000sq ft. residential and retail building which was nearing completion in London’s West End.

The client’s target market was high-net-worth tenants. Therefore, the building required an extensive security analysis in order to provide expert recommendations which would ensure the highest levels of security were achieved throughout the property.

The Solution: GUK carried out a full Security Analysis, which enabled the client’s Financial Director to produce a realistic budget for their security provision. Having established the requirements, the GUK Operational Management team identified current team members who would be suitable for this prestigious project. Only qualified personnel who had carried out additional training at GUK’s Training Academy, and who demonstrated potential for promotion to supervisor level were considered for the role. A new uniform was also designed to match the prestigious style of the building. Ahead of the building being handed over, GUK appointed a highly-skilled Security Manager from within the company to work at the site, alongside three key members of the team. This enabled the GUK team to familiarise themselves with the systems and other building personnel, as well as producing assignment instructions for the wider security team before they arrived on site. A team of 20 fully trained GUK security professionals are now employed across the site.
