Our Net Zero Pledge
We are proud to announce that we are Carbon Neutral (PAS 2060) certified.
This means that we have assessed our carbon emissions through a third party, reduced which we can and what we cannot currently reduce, we have supported carbon offsetting projects to ‘neutralise’ our emissions. The projects include:
- UK Trees + Brazil REDD
- Vp Biosupply Wastewater Treatment
- Wind Project in Maharashtra by BWDPL
However, we understand the greater need to reduce our Carbon Emissions. Therefore, GUK have pledged to Net Zero!
Using the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI) tool, we have set our target to a 1.5 Degree Celsius Scenario over the next twelve years, with our base year being 2020.
We aim to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 42.0% by 2030.
Protection of the public
GUK is committed to ensuring that members of the public are protected whilst working or visiting GUK secured sites. The welfare of all members of the public is of paramount concern and forms an integral part of our training regime for all company employees.
Our in-house training system provides practical tuition in all aspects of customer relations, conflict de-escalation and resolution. Training is supported through the implementation of policies and procedures geared to the control and reduction of violence in the workplace.
Members of our senior management team work closely with local and national organisations in developing and implementing initiatives designed to safeguard all stakeholders, from company clients to members of the public.
