The UK Security Industry is heavily dependent on labour coming through from the EU. There are currently 394,267 active licences within the UK*. Just under 15,000 of these licences are held by EU passport holders.
With Brexit edging ever closer the UK Government has launched an EU Settlement Scheme, which means if you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss Citizen, you and your family can apply to continue living in the UK after 30thJune 2021. If your application is successful you will receive either settled or pre-settled status.
The rights you gain with settled or pre-settled status includes:
- Working within the UK
- Enrolment in education
- Access to pensions
- Travel in and out of the UK
The deadline for applications is set for 30thJune 2021
